Espresso, home

I'm still having troubles getting the same dose in the portafilter every time I make an espresso. The "overfill it and scrape off everything that sticks out with your finger" method isn't really working out for me. It could be time to buy some scales. Or maybe that's getting too anal. No, I think "anal" would be measuring the size of each individual ground bit of coffee bean. Anything short of that is probably okay.
